Francesco da Barberino. “Sentenze. Of Importunities and Troublesome Persons.”

This is Part 14 of the “Sotto Docilità” section of the Documenti d'Amore of Francesco da Barberino (1264-1348). The translation is fairly free and the source text—Ubaldini's edition of 1614—is difficult. DGR translated four short portions of this long work.

The translation was first published in 1861 in The Early Italian Poets; it was reprinted in 1874 in Dante and his Circle.
