Note: “D.G. Rossetti to G.P. Boyce, July 1862” is inscribed by Boyce's hand on the lower left. “ Venus Verticordia” is written in the center, probably in Boyce's hand. “Fragment study for Joan of Arc on the other side” is written in the lower right corner, also in Boyce's hand.
